We are located in the Kawartha Lakes region, 2 hours north east of Toronto. Being a hideaway is an integral part of the nortehaus concept and so the exact location will be shared with you once you complete your booking

nortehaus is a 2 bedroom safe haven with 2 full bathrooms. Our space was designed to accommodate 4 people.

100%. Children thrive in nature and we ourselves have a toddler so we fully understand the logistics behind planning a trip without your child. Given that we have two full bedrooms it perfectly accommodates up to two children.

Absolutely! It makes complete sense that your best friend is part of your ultimate zen dream at nortehaus. Please do note that an additional fee of $50 +HST per stay will be charged to accommodate for the extra cleaning. We do ask that you don’t leave your pet by themselves, that you clean up after them, and that you keep them on leash when outside. Please note that any physical damage to nortehaus and/or it’s furniture will need to be paid for.

At this time we can only accommodate one pet per booking given our space.

Your slow living fantasy might be spending all day outdoors, all day in the bath, or all day watching Netflix on your iPad, we get it. nortehaus is fully equipped with high-speed internet perfectly suitable for streaming or even a workation. Please note though that depending on the carrier reception can be spotty.

This is a big no as we have a strict no-smoking policy ( this includes e-cigarettes, vaping, and cannabis). We kindly ask that you please smoke outdoors away from any open windows or doors. Please do not leave any smoking-related waste outdoors. Any guests who violate this policy will be charged $400 CAD.

Not necessarily. Our roads are a mix of dirt and gravel but they are plowed and taken care of all year round. That being said, if you have access to a 4-wheel drive vehicle we encourage it given that weather can be unpredictable.
